Talks & PD
Talks
Grounded in applied ethics, embodied wisdom, and self-trust, my small in person group engagements draw on my academic training and intersectional lived experience.
I open up vital but often-avoided topics for groups that are ready to engage with me in a way that is mutual and sincere. Yes, this requires bravery! It will also include laughter. Let’s get together and find our way into the future.

Format and topics are tailored to the context of the audience and always include philosophy and related research with the intention to inspire reflection. These are lively conversations with Q&A and better understood as gatherings of a group with facilitation to learn together. The goal is to deeply connect in real time so these are in person with no tech or recording.

How We Talk (or don’t) about How we Think
We default to the idea that there’s a “normal” out there. Often, it’s not us. Being chronically treated as a “special case” can lead to epistemic injury that impacts our wellbeing and our ability to connect with others.
This offering leads a dynamic conversation on the intersection of identity, clinical care, and perceived meaning. What words should we use to describe how we think, feel, and access wellbeing or interface with clinical care? What stops us from wanting to talk or think about our health or identity at all?
My work is not focused on diagnostics or in opposition to clinical care. My work is about the benefit of talking about how we think. Let’s get together and consider the bigger picture of our health, brains and bodies. Let’s invite our integrity and moral values into the group chat.
Gotta Split?
Yes, there can be integrity in Divorce
Have you ever loved a plant, placed it in a beautiful pot, and cared for it well — only to realize one day that it has completely outgrown its container? You wanted it to grow. But maybe only up - not out.
Humans, like plants, are part of nature. Our relationships grow and shift over time, like we do. Needing a change today does not mean we made a mistake yesterday. We tend to associate significant change with a lack of stability. We also associate stability with responsibility, morality, and family values. That's tricky.
This talk begins with the bold premise that ending a marriage does not need to be viewed as a failure of commitment. Honoring when a commitment has been fulfilled can be a profound and honest gift to everyone involved that beats stagnancy any day. Can we show kids that change can be needed and also not negate love or prevent connection? I think so. Even the Constitution needs to be amended.
Let's step out of inherited shame or fear that doesn't really make sense when we look at the facts of our lives or hearts. Let's explore divorce with clarity, ethics, and humor.
Professional Development
The common thread in my work is using applied ethics to evolve places where epistemic injury emerges from differences in identity impacting communal spaces. I draw from my expertise around cognitive difference and applied philosophy. My unique lens is particularly useful for professionals who work closely with clients whose unique bodies or minds require adjustments for greater clarity in communication.
We will pause, zoom out, and look closely at what’s happening with an ethical eye that can hold the complexity of your environment whether you are a therapist, attorney or other professional who wants to evolve your practice for the benefit of your clients.
