Individuals

My work invites curious, open reflection not just on individual coping, but on inherited systems and assumptions that we might not even believe in anymore. Just because we can keep going doesn’t always mean we should.

The cool thing about my (weird?) role as a modern day philosopher / consultant / educator is that I don’t have to focus on you alone. I can talk smack about your friends! Kidding. But seriously, we can step back and look at the big picture of you, your connections, your work, your kids and we can talk about all of it. I’m not in charge of managing symptoms or diagnosing you or even processing emotions. I’m allowed to disclose if I totally get what you’re up against. I can think through solutions with you or validate that you were never the problem and indeed the system you are in sucks. When we release the usual tasks and take time to look at your situation from a wider vantage point, sometimes we see places where you may have more choices than you realize. You were searching inside the box. Silly. Often the best choices are way outside the box. With a big picture, unconventional but well-researched perspective, we can examine any options that emerge with clarity and make a plan.

I’m direct, comfortable with “awkward” stuff, and my sense of humor will keep us grounded. I’ve been around enough of life’s less charted territory to offer you some helpful coordinates. I believe that updated research, integrity and kindness should lead the way. I would be honored to help you.

My special focus is neurodivergence in adults (with or without medical diagnoses) including:

  • ADHD

  • High-masking Autism

  • Highly sensitive, introverted, or other social identities

  • Noise sensitivity, food sensitivity, all sensitivity!

I’m also a great resource when your sense of belonging or direction is impacted by:

  • Ending a relationship / navigating divorce with love and integrity to honor shared history and growth rather than turning it into a Capulet v Montague situation

  • Family estrangement / going NC when it’s the right answer even if it makes you feel terrible in the Hallmark section

  • Gender identity and intersectionality at all ages and stages

  • Maintaining a joyful sexuality in a sensitive / ND body even with a history of trauma

Note that my work is educational and consultative in nature. I do not provide psychotherapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment. Many people I work with are also engaged in clinical care, and my role is intended to complement — not replace — those supports.
